This cross is intended to breed for brains, looks, trainability and versatility. We always have the dual purpose hunter in mind and want dogs that have equal retrieving desire, marking ability, overall trainability and of course a strong nose. Bo is a 4x GMPR as well as AKC Master Hunter. He was a big (80lbs), powerful dog that could mark and ran with a ton of style in both non-slip retriever and upland work. Bo actually sired two of the most talented dogs we have ever owned, trained, or helped raise: HRCH Goldeneyes Big Guns MH QAA and his sister Goldeneyes Only Buy Avery MH. The opportunity to produce more Bo offspring was one we could not pass up!
Bo is sired by FC AFC CFC CAFC Jazztime’s Last Chance V Pekisko (Chance), out of the coveted Jazztime lines. Jazztime dogs have some of the strongest following in the country due to their proven talent, trainability, looks and versatility. Founded by Larry and Anna Calvert, Jazztime Labs produced dogs that were successful all-age field trial dogs, hunt test dogs but also proven pointing labradors. In fact Chance was the first dog in the United States to hold the FC (Field Champion) title and earn his Grand Master Pointing Retriever (GMPR) title in the APLA! Chance is the result of one of the first Lean Mac x Jazztime crosses (FC AFC CFC CAFC Jazztime's Frequent Flyer x NFTCH NAFTCH FTCH AFTCH Clubmead's Steel Magnolia) that was done 3 times!
Rose is a great looking female weighing around 62lbs. She has an incredible nose, and is a very natural pointing labrador. Rose’s pedigree is full of proven APLA dogs that also have retriever hunt test titles continuing the theme of versatile Labradors. She is also a proven producer of great looking puppies that have plenty of prey drive but are sensible to train. This cross with Bo should be more of the same!
