River may be the only FC AFC HOF Webshire's Honest Abe son that has semen available. Webshire's Honest Abe was sire to 37 FC titled dogs. To make River's pedigree even more impressive, River is a grandson to FC AFC HOF Candlewood's MD Houston, who amassed over 300 all age points during his field trial career. He is also a loose line breeding on AFC Black Gold's Candlewood Kate.
An Alaskan 'hunting' dog, River was not heavily campaigned as a hunt test or field trial dog. However, he did earn his NAHRA MHR title. River spent many days with his owner, hunting the marshes of Alaska. He also traveled extensively to other destinations, hunting geese, waterfowl, chukar, and pheasants. Mike, his owner, said River would go through a brick wall to retrieve a bird, and I can tell you from firsthand experience watching River, that is a fact. River knew no quit when it came to making a retrieve.
River lived a very long healthy life. He lived to be 14 years old and hunted many, many years. He sired two litters in Alaska when he was alive, the first one, the pups all went to hunting homes. The second one produced two QAA MH dogs and two also with derby points.
Danni comes from absolutely wonderful parentage. Her sire, AFC 2XSRSACC SRSC SRSAC GRHRCH Feliciana Geaux Big or Go Home MH QA2, is one of the most diversely titled stud dogs ever to live and has seen success in all major retriever venues - HRC, AKC (all age field trials and hunt tests), and SRS. Her mother comes from a breeding which produced FC AFC's and QAA dogs.
