The idea of Dolly's name was given to breeder by vet Peter Hughes of Ely Vet Clinic. Dolly was retired as a brood bitch by Margo to become a companion dog to Mary Kerntz (an old friend of Joe DeLoia's)who held Dolly dear throughout her battle with cancer. Upon Mary's passing, Dolly sat on Mary's favorite chair until she was re-homed. To date Dolly is still living with Mary's daughter on Beacon Hill in Ely. (5/18/2017)
