Making the Derby List at only 10 months old. Rocky qualified for the Derby National twice and was a 2020 National Derby Finalist, ending his derby career with 21 points. His success continues into the all age stake as he was also a finalist in the 2025 National Open Championship. In the word's of Marc Patton, "High powered marker. One of the purest marking dogs I’ve trained. Countless people have fallen in love with Rocky after watching him run a set of marks. He’s like driving a Ferrari."

Elvira is a hard charging, team player, that can mark like no other! When it comes to working, whether it is blinds or marks, she is a HOT ROD, but has that great off switch when it is time to lay on the couch.
For her derby career, she only ran a handful of trials. In those few, she earned a Jam in her first trial and a 1st place finish in her second trial at Lake Champlain Retriever Club. Elvira also competed in the 2022 Derby National Championship where she made it to the 5th series.
03/24/2024 3rd Place at Carolina Piedmont. 04/20/2024 1st Place Qualifying. Blue Ridge Retriever Club. Before taking time off to breed, Elvira has been running the open, where she has made it to the 4th series several times. The raw talent in these genetics run deep as Elvira has 3 full siblings that are QAA and 2 more that are QA2.
