Summer (HR and JH) is a 57# Chocolate bbEe. Her attitude is all about the excitement, happiness and the pure enjoyment of retrieving a bird. She seeks to please and succeed, be it rock steadiness and manners at the line or a snappy delivery and a "let's do another!" smile in her eyes. She is also focused, and lightning-fast straight to the marks, earning "she's got a MOTOR!" from the gallery. She has her HR and JH titles, two Upland and one SH pass. Future plans are MH, UH and HRCH and beyond. In real-life hunting, she is excellent in flush, marking and delivery of Iowa's pheasants. Summer's off switch finds her snoozing on the couch upside down with legs in the air, enjoying front seat Jeep rides or simply being by my side.

Wyatt (HRCH and MH) is smart, athletic, good-looking, fun to be around and throws beautiful dark chocolate pups. He’s all business in the field and a couch potato at home. Wyatt is a true all-around dog, now competing in several Qualifyings. He passed the 2025 Fall Grand, giving him one pass toward his Grand Hunting Retriever Champion (GRHRCH) title, and then went on to the 6th at the Master National. He also finished three Quals. Wyatt had a fantastic year and just keeps getting better. He’s a strong marker and runs nice, straight lines on his blinds. When he isn’t running hunt tests in the summer and fall, he spends the winter picking up hundreds of geese and ducks.

This breeding brings together the talent and performance of several well-known dogs in their pedigrees. These pups will come from lines that include some of the best chocolates —on Wyatt’s side: Barley & Islay, TyRoux’s Bleu, Lean Mac, and Cuda’s Blue Ryder. From Summer: Barracuda Blue, Elwood Blues, Howdy, and her sweet, incredibly talented father, Micah. Together, Summer and Wyatt concentrate these genetics into exceptionally talented, intelligent and sweet pups.
