Axel: A young, athletic, professional upland guide and driven hunt dog with instinctive point and “off the charts drive” for prey, toy, and food with extreme hunt/search drive and nose.
Axel was a key part of my Driven Hunt team and Picked (steady sit behind guns) and swept (hunt dead and retrieve after every drive). He was my #1 dog for upland guide and rough shoots because he hunted fast but controlled and had superior nose to trail running pheasant but was easy to read because of his instinctive point. He was a favorite for me and gunners because those put birds into range and his beastly retrieve always put them in the bag.
